What Is Yoga Gives?
“Never underestimate the power of a small group of committed people to change the world. In fact, it is the only thing that ever has.” –Margaret Mead
Yoga As A Vehicle To Empower Individuals And Communities
Yoga Gives International is a non-profit worldwide foundation that applies the principles of yoga to create a better world. We believe that by utilizing these yogic principles, we can foster an environment for wellness, self healing, and the raising of the community consciousness , by the various projects we support. Yoga provides a vehicle by which individuals can empower their lives through taking control of their health, their body, and their mental well-being.
Projects That Improve Communities Worldwide
Undoubtedly, translating personal wellness into solutions for global humanitarian problems requires an impact and strategy beyond that of yoga practice itself. So every year, we support & create opportunities which aim to measurably improve the health, education and social and economic welfare of people and their communities worldwide.
Developing Countries Need Yoga Too
The scope of our projects are broad and far-reaching, such as providing financial support to create new yoga studios in developing countries, in cities where they do not currently exist. In an effort to promote healthy lifestyle education to people around the world, we have created an international scholarship fund for students, giving them opportunities to study yoga and health-education abroad. We have a particular focus to provide to those in need, especially in developing parts of the world. Helping to establish and maintaining community yoga and health workshops in Africa, Asia & Latin America are important components to raising the overall health, physical education & well being of poor communities around the world. We partner frequently with other foundations to champion this cause.
Crowd Funding To Achieve Our Goals
We welcome all patronage to the projects and communities we support. In order to further foster a community environment, we coordinate community funding projects for our patrons to engage with us on a deeper level. We host projects regularly through several crowd funding platforms, such as Idea.me, Indiegogo and Kickstarter.
